It's a lovely room, but -- you're right -- it's a lot of white.

I personally would like to see some color or bright pattern. If you can paint the cabinets around the refrigerator a color, that'd be lovely. If it's a plywood issue (and I dunno 'bout that), then could you do the stiles in white and add a brightly colored patterned wallpaper to the centers?

I agree paint and a color that makes you smile it is a laundry room or is the laundry in your kitchen?

It is an extension of my kitchen and includes the washer/dryer.

It's not stain grade, as Cathi Thomas pointed out above. Paint it white and forget about it. Use colorful towels and countertop bowels as accents. Or add a lively wallpaper to the room.

Just keep the white. If you want to add something different then paint the space a more interesting color or use wallpaper.

I also think white - however, if you really want stain, you will need to add a wood veneer to the front panels. What wood was used for the door stiles/rails? I assume red oak. You could get a quartersawn red oak veneer that would look nice stained. I would NOT stain the current center panels - they will not look nice.

Yeah, since it’s plywood, you have to paint it otherwise it looks like it belongs in a garage or shed.

How will you get into the cabinet that is to the left of the refrigerator? It appears that the white cabinet blocks the door from opening.
