I've never seen that vine. I was going to say cat's claw, but it has flowers. Are you sure it never flowers? How does it propagate?

Wouldn't be surprised if whoever sees this darn thing, wherever that may be, is looking at the same individual plant, no reproduction needed.

Seriously though, it does one heck of a lot of vegetative propagation along the ground.

Maybe try posting this on the 'Name That Plant' forum - some excellent ID-ers there.
