Sherry, the Millenium Allium is very pretty!!

Here's the ones I may register that have been consistently good and I really like the most. They are not necessarily the most budded of my seedlings. There are a number of others I am not sure of yet and several newer ones that I'm hopeful for.

Full Grown x Chance Encounter 1, between 10 & 15 buds 7" buds, 25" mid

Full Grown x Chance Encounter 2 also between 10 and 15 buds. 7" buds, 25". mid

Bali Watercolor x Sugar Magolia, 10-15 buds, 31", 10" buds early, increases rapidly

Sky over Schuler x Spirit of the Dove from seeds from Celeste. 21-28 buds, 11" buds, tall. early increases rapidly

Bombay Silk x Vintage Wine 1. 1 7", 28-30" early, increases rapidly

Carmen Renee x VT the Last Melon 1. 12-19 buds 7", 31+", mid-late. I also have a bitone of this with the same basic stats.

Wilson Spider x Carmen Renee 1. 10", 38", about 10 buds, late

So Lovely x North Wind Dancer 1. 9", 34". 12 buds.

Most of mine I won't know if they are register-worthy for a couple of years. Those I would register need to have an average of 15 buds and multiply well.

The ones most likely to be registered are these two, which were bud builders in Nashville but not here - yet:

Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine had a couple of fans with 18-22 buds in its first year here. This evergreen bud builder has gotten 26-44 buds on its best scapes in Nashville. I only brought five fans, but they have doubled since last year. I wish I had brought all 14 fans, but I ran out of space in my trunk and did not know if being evergreen it would survive in Indy.

August Frost X Winter's Angel is a dormant that had 21 buds on its best scape last year. It has value as both a late bloomer and a bud builder.

Perseus' Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash multiplies like crazy here but may not have a bud-count worthy of registration. I've shared pieces with Kay and Brad and still have well over 20 fans of it. Only one fan last year had 15 buds - the others had mostly 8-12 buds. In Nashville it always had some fans with 17 buds, but most fans had 12-14. It's semi-evergreen.

Brad, I like the Sky over Schuler X Spirit of the Dove seedling. It has an interesting shape and I like the white center. I also like Bombay Silk X Vintage Wine seedling. It has such rich color.

Debra, you know I love your pinks. I also love the August Frost seedling. It looks to have lots of appeal being late and a bud builder on top of being a beautiful flower. I also like the Perseus' Sandals seedling.

We have debated about this seedling for years. Its bud count is a little lower than we would like, but we love the color and the broad petals and sepals. It is All of My Love to You X Randy Stephens. This one might be registered in 2027.

This one might be registered in 2027 or 28. It is Back Draft X Tet. Rose Kennedy. We don't have stats on this one yet, but it is a vigorous plant.

This is Broadway Smile X Laurelwood's Ankle Biter. It is a small flower about 4.25 inches and has a tremendous scape with about 25 buds. It might be registered in 2027 or 28.

Bob loves this one--But Wait, There's More X Wandering Werribee. We haven't taken stats on this one yet.

This is Cherry Pie a la Mode X (Stellar Stitchery X Cherry Pie a la Mode). It has a bigger eye and a better edge than Cherry Pie. It also reblooms in August.

Chomp X Happy Holidays to You is on the short side with a large flower.

This is Gryphon Carl Linnaeus X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy. We love the big green throat.

This Hellow Screamer X Cherry Pie a la Mode.

This might be our second diploid introduction. It is Little Donny Darko X Night Dreams. It's a small flower on a taller scape.

Debra, Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine is really pretty. I do hope it works in your new climate. Perseus' Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash has done well for me. I will try to pay more careful attention to number of buds, etc. this summer.

Nancy, You really have a lot of nice seedlings. I will narrow my favorites down to:

Gryphon Carl Linnaeus X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy is really pretty. I too really like the throat!

Little Donny Darko X Night Dreams is a really nice dark one.

I also really like Cherry Pie a la Mode X (Stellar Stitchery X Cherry Pie a la Mode). I have looked at Cherry Pie a la Mode locally at a garden and have been temped a couple of times to get it. I think I like your seedling more.

Brad, my favorite is Wilson Spider X Carmen Rene. You get such lovely lavenders.

Debra, my favorite is the second Dearest Valentine cross, like the bitone look. Everything you show us is wonderful.

Brad: Wilson Spider x Carmen Renee. The form and color is what I'm drawn to.So Lovely x North Wind Dancer has a nice soft lavender color.

Debra: August Frost X Winter's Angel . Nice near white(?) and ruffling on the edges. Your Dearest Valentine crosses always look good.

Nancy:Geometric Wizard X Smoke Shadows really shows a good pattern.Ruffled Strawberry Parfait X Alan Lane Agin appears to show as a flatter opening which I like along with the color combination. Gryphon Carl Linnaeus X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy has a nice large green throat contrasting with the darker color of the bloom..

Debra, you do such lovely pinks. I like the white seedling as well-it makes a statement with all those buds.

Brad, you are creating some great lavenders of all forms. I join the votes on the Wilson Spider but I also like the So Lovely seedling.

Nancy, you have a lot to like! You can certainly see Geometric Wizard in that seedling. I like it. I love the color on Orchids for Minnie. The Gryphon Carl Linnaeus seedling does indeed have a large green throat-I like it a lot. But I like them all!

I am with Kate; kudos to all who hybridize. Brad, I like Bali Watercolor x Sugar Magolia really well.

Nancy, the ones that strike my fancy the most are Gryphon Carl Linnaeus X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy , Ruffled Strawberry Parfait X Alan Lane Agin. , and, of course, for the color, Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine .

The favorites are always the ones I would love to have in my garden but that doesn't mean the others are wonderful as well.
