How many mirrors are you using? What does the light bar look like?

If you are using one mirror and your style is very minimal, a singular minimal light bar can look ok in certain situations. But in most cases a single light bar that long can be too much visual clutter.

I was going to install two recessed medicine cabinets. To me, the one long bar light just looks cleaner.

All we know is you have a 72 inch vanity.

In other words, a mystery as we don't know the style. the style/length of the light bar , the medicine cabinets.

Nor do we know what other light is in the bath of what size?

The success of this depends on the size and proportions of all the item in the bathroom. Some of the designs of the 72" light bars are brutal in scale and overwhelm the other elements.

Beverly's pictures speak 1,000 words. The first is mimimal, slender, and appropriate. The last pick, althoug an appropriate scale, still looks cluttered and silly, like there was a sale on glass shades and someone bought way too many of them.

I believe OP is saying it's a double sink 72" vanity with recessed medicine cabinets, so there would be one light over each mirror.

normally it's done w/one mirror, one light

or two mirrors and two lights.

But it depends on what you're working with.

It would help if we saw a picture of the space, the type of mirrors/cabinets and how they're placed.

@Beth H. : Yes, I was thinking of two recessed medicine cabinets, above a 72” vanity with ONE horizontal light. I don’t see many examples. After researching, I also don’t see many really long ones (that I’m willing to spend that much money on). I may have to opt for two, one over each mirror.

@Beth H. :I really like the look of the mirrors with the light in the photo of the navy blue cabinets. That’s the look I was going for.

I think you can find these lights in a 49" ?

A quick search for a 70-72" light doesn't yield many results and what does come up is $600 and up. What's your budget for a light?

What you are looking for over the navy vanity below can look great, though indeed they are expensive. But, hiw much more than the cost of two smaller lights?
