Raleigh Spring Swap (Our 25th Year!)

last month

The Spring 2026 Raleigh Plant Swap will be on Sunday, April 26th 2026 at Garner Grows Community Garden from 1pm til 4pm. Garner Grows Community Garden 550 Thompson Road Garner NC 27529

The town of Garner is still renovating the picnic shelters at White Deer Park (which means all the shelters at nearby parks are booked solid through the spring). Note that this year is the 25th year of having swaps, we were swapping before White Deer Park even existed!

Everything should be the same as always. Hopefully we’ll get some rain between now and the end of the month.

Garner Grows has everything we need except power - so don’t bring any crockpots or electric warmers.

Im so excited for this swap! i better start prepping seedlings and rabbit manure to share.

I *may* have 4.5wk and 6.5wk old rabbits available by the swap if anyone interested wants to discuss separately.

  • last month

I would be interested in discussing the rabbits.

    Sounds good!

Does this swap ever occur in Raleigh or other more centralized triangle locations? Really want to try this swap out but getting to the opposite side of Raleigh isn‘t always easy. Especially after already making multiple trips to Garden Treasures and/or Plant Delights. 🤪

    Hi everyone,

I was at Lowes in Cary today and they have black, square, gallon pots of perennials for sale for $4.00 instead of $7.98. Sale ends today.

    Screenwriter,

    Very interested in Cimicifuga ‘Brunette’.

If you don't get anything better, we could get you fresh trimmings of Illicium ‘Florida Sunshine’ to start your own cuttings (they root quite well). Also our Amsonia tabernaemontana produces plenty of seeds, so we could collect them for you.

We had likely given you some variegated Iris ensata already, but if you want more, they multiply quite fast and we could have something available next time.

Lester, I have 'Florida Sunshine' now, but would love seeds from the Amsonia. Yes, I would like more of the variegated Iris ensata when available. 'Brunette' is potted and waiting for you.

i private/direct messaged you. We'll keep them at the garden (in a shed so they are out of the weather) til you reach out and let me know otherwise. Just know the email associated with this i very rarely check- so i sent my 'real' email in the PM.

@Pete in Apex, NC (z8a) - it's not all that far from plant delights (within 5 miles or so). We typically do have it somewhere in Garner. Either white deer park or where it was the last time - Thompson road park (on the community garden site).
