Less is more when it comes to decor. It’s functional and nice looking as is.

It looks nice! Maybe if you feel that you need some pop up of color you can add some flowers in the middle one so will have a bit of high and color

I think i would explore putting peel and stick wallpaper as a background there to ground the baskets on the wall. They look nice!

Sorry not cute and IMO over killl for the purpose but maybe just not do anything if they function as is .

Another kitchen option with less visual clutter for mail, keys, charging phones, etc. is to install a shallow side cabinet instead of the baskets.

Depending on your family and how you envision the space being used you could add a calendar and/or family chores or a weekly menu for dinner. Might need to change where the current bins are to accommodate

You are brave! I would never add anything to a finished cabinet side panel for fear it would somehow get damaged and then I would have to go through all the headaches of trying to get it fixed or replaced!

Those could be command hooks. Anything on sides, front of fridge drives me insane - but that is just me. Maybe a closed basket on the floor with folders for homework since open baskets eventually look cluttered.

Yes, I agree that the baskets are hung from Command hooks, so no damage to cabinetry. I, personally think it is a good solution for paper control and visually pleasing. I wouldn't add anything. The only change you might consider is to align the baskets vertically, centered to the cabinet.

Ignore the people who don’t get it. For years we had a three basket system to keep track of homework, field trips notices etc for each kid. Worked perfectly for us and didn’t become overstuffed. There is nothing wrong with wanting home organization.

I get wanting organization. Just offering a different perspective - like wanting a bench and someone suggests something else and OP has another idea to think about.

Instead of scattering them stack them vertically and evenly spaced. They currently look a bit chaotic and a uniform look would be better.

@shirlpp the OP has the baskets and wants help making it look good. Not a critique of how the baskets will be used and people’s personal preferences on storage.

I think it is a clever solution for the stage of life your family is in. I do think three in a row might look more purposeful.

I like the idea of something on the side of the ref. But not the staggered baskets. Yours are cute and will function well for you, but simplify - even spacing straight up and down - you don't need any more.

If that side of the ref is a focal point of your kitchen, then you failed with the rest of the space! There should be a whole bunch of other things drawing your attention long before your eyes land over here. I would take picture from further back so you can see it as a whole.
