Any one else watching???

Jackie and Shadow, the bald eagles whose two chicks hatched over the weekend. They are in the Big Bear Valley (Friends of Big Bear Valley, FOBBV) of the San Bernadino National Forest.

Yor can live stream them on Youtube by entering Jackie and Shadow, they are so popular the search should bring them right up. I have been watching since the end of February, just after their first clutch of eggs was eaten by Ravens. We weren’t sure they would mate again, lay eggs and if the eggs would be viable, but it has all come to pass.

As gardeners, we are usually in touch with all kinds of wildlife, so I thought I would share.

Not meaning to hi-jack your thread but I'm also to watch the Great Horned Owls again this year. They have nested in a different place and I'm not sure where but they still hang around my wood lot which borders a couple farm fields that attract meals for the owls.

Two days ago I saw the first baby (owlet) behind my house. It was with one adult. Judging by the size and ability to fly I'm guessing at least 2+ months old.

I am. I have been watching them now for 4 years. Those little bobble heads are so cute. It is awesome to watch them grow in just over 2 months.

I see snippets of this eagle family on the morning news I watch, WGN in Chicago. Today I saw the new hatchlings! I also saw last seasons Eagle watch on WGN.

old dirt I watch eagle cams from Florida to Catalina. We have watched the eagles from SFEC (Southwest Florida Eagle Cam) and NFEC (northeast Florida ec) grow up. The northeast nest is about 6 miles from me. From the cameras I recognize buildings in the distance and once Beau and Gabby flew overhead. I want to go find it but I don't. I do like your owls.
