We recently purchased a ski home featuring honey-toned pine trim throughout, including a pine ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the great room. The great room also includes a kitchen with cherry cabinets. This north-facing space has vast floor-to-ceiling windows, while the south-facing bedrooms receive ample natural light.

We are looking for paint color recommendations that complement and balance these wood tones. We would like to embrace a "ski house" aesthetic rather than hide the wood features.

For the great room, we need a versatile color that can transition into hallways that lack natural light. For the two bedrooms, we are interested in a different color that maintains an earthy, mountain-inspired vibe to go with the existing oatmeal carpet.
