if you can remove the top piece(s) off the credenza portion, do so... paint it and mount your new TV on the wall above.

to keep the sectional from moving, cut a few pieces of wood to act as a spacer between the legs and the base trim.

Everyone seems obsessed with built-ins these days. I'm not sure why. They seems particularly odd in a two story tall space as they don't look built in at all. Do you need storage? If so, get a long credenza, or two pushed together, and hang the frame TV centered over them. You can still display objects along the top of them. Seek a wood tone the color of your flooring.

CB2 - 93" 0r 60"

Some like shelf space to display collected/inherited items. One of them a brass plate that I saw being made by a boy in Morocco when we were both around 10 years old! Two religious items that are around 200 years old and have been in the family for most of that time. My parents had them at their house until a few years ago.

My Samsung 75" Frame TV with 3" DecoTV Frame in my built-in with storage and display shelves. Whole unit is 16' wide x 10' 4" tall. Not symmetrical, with 2 shelf columns on left and one on the right.

I like the more modern unit, but not sure it will vibe well w/your furnishings. Yours is a bit more traditional

If you want to keep your furniture, you could pick a console that works w/what you have, hange the tv above it and try some accessories.

helpful hint on your drapes. the rod needs to be hung higher, and the drapes need to extend further left and right. some examples. (not really a fan of that yellow either)

these are just examples of the placement of the rod and panels.

There are lots of cabinets that could be used on the wall.

I advise you to move the chair and floor lamp to the corner with a tree near the window and then use the balance of the wall for the TV and cabinet. I would move your area rug so that a bit more of it ends up the the RH side of the fireplace.

Some adjustments in the room need to be made.

Your fourth pic gives me the feeling the actual sq footage of this room is not large enough to waste pulling the sectional away from the windows. WHY??? So dust bunnies have a place to gather??? The curtains are fine--that gap between the rod and window frame 'the experts' push is just not attractive!! WHY??!! It's a two story room no need to feign high celing with fake hung curtains!!! Do you have reason to have all the display space the proposed built ins will give you? When I see book cases staged as your picture does it says to me these people don't read--get rid of the book cases!! Your proposal is same as you have but one step into the future...I would take the second step, forget the 'built in' look and go sleek and clean with a hung on the wall TV with a beautiful credenza under the TV. That is the most updated look. If you are going to bother you might as well go all the way into the present. The piece you own, if it were salavagable by "removing the top" would be too low to my eye.

I love a small buffer between wall and sofa. It just give a bit of breathing room, makes the room feel larger, not as crammed in. Do you have grippy pads on the feet? They can reduce migration.

Your furniture is traditional, but the art and color makes the room feel eclectic. Have fun with this next piece.

Can you remove the top of your current piece just to get a feel for having only lowers.

To start you do not need a Frame TV to display art you can do that with any smart TV. I like Besta from Ikea for this type use but your space looks quite traditional so check out what Ikea offers then maye take some pics to a cabinet maker for a better wood match for your space .

I like the mirror and the black would make the case for the unit to be painted black or ebony (use liquid sandpaper first). I would center it in the wall space. I would replace the yellow drapes though.

It's a large room, but not oversized. Sofa is 15 feet from the wall. Chat GPT tells me I need at minumum 75" TV. (It actually suggests 85" but that is just too big IMO) We're not big TV watchers..

Any feedback on TV size?

That just seems huge. We have been happy with the 65" TV, so going up to 75" seems okay. I need to think about this, thank you for posting. Although with the frame TV, it will mostly be showing "art."

Question if you have a frame TV (or similar) Do you leave it in art mode all the time? So is the TV on 24-7?
