I will read this and her second book, The Gift (wish we could underline!). I think it is vitally important to remember the history and pass it on to younger generations, especially with the rise of many who seem to be returning to the ideas of those others.

The ones who need to read it will not. It is now hate anyone who is not a white northern European male. Bonus points, that the men count, for the ones who pay lip service to traditional male/female roles. IE. males are the boss and females are the servant/sexual slaves.

I've read The Choice...and I remember it being about choosing freedom over victimhood after surviving the Holocaust. But the comments comparing this administration to Nazis or claiming it's now "hate everyone except white northern European males" with women as "servant/sexual slaves" are just pure hysteria. None of that is happening. We have equal legal rights and diverse Americans in every field, and definitely a lot of women in this administration. Supporting secure borders, merit over DEI, or biological reality in sports and prisons isn't "Nazi" or misogyny-it's basic common sense. The ones screaming "enough Nazis already are exactly who need the book's message most, so stop living in trauma fantasies and deal with reality. Exaggerations like this just make serious discussion impossible.

Actually, as I recall, it was more of an inspirational read than anything else.

It definitely went into what she experienced during the holocaust, but the focus was actually on her life after.

It truly was a worthwhile read, not quite Man's Search for Meaning but along those lines.

I know who needs the message most and so does everybody who doesn’t advocate for the anihilation of a civilization and a people.
