Pretty blooms Kay! Always love the color on Tavaris Watercolor and Bill Watson. I think our rain total was over 5 inches. It’s always feast or famine!! Scapes are everywhere.

Thank you, Kate. Tavaris Watercolor is a good plant. It always blooms early and reblooms and it blooms a lot typically. It actually have six blooms this morning, but they were all over the plant.I could tell you were getting a lot. We got a couple od inches which is wonderful since wqe were in extreme drought. I am seeing more scapes all the time...I don''t understand how heat without rain could make them have so many scapes.

I am so glad we are getting rain. Five inches isa lot at one time, We are supposed to get more this afternoon and again Fidaynight/Saturday morning. We need every drop. I know our lilies will love it.

Indeed. your daylilies will look great after they get a good drink of water. We had about 2 inches the last couple of days. We were beginning to get dry. We have only seen scapes on two more--H. dumortieri and Begin with a Bang. Usually, besides these two and H. minor, we usually see the first scapes on the seedlings that were planted the previous season. They usually are so eager to bloom. Last season we didn't get the seedlings planted so no early blooms this year.

Fernstone looks lovely. I really like the pink of Bill Watson and the interesting eye zone of Dragonfly Tatoo. Keep those photos coming!

So nice to see the blooming is really getting underway…..a good beginning. Marseilles Watercolor caught my eye today, such a delicate looking bloom.

Thank you all for commenting,. The rain should help since we have been dry so long. Marseilles Watercolor is such a good plant it usually goes through thee blooms during the season. Nancy I really like Dragonfly Tattoo. Brad, Bill Watson is one of my oldest daylilies and a reliable early bloomer.

Dragonfly Tattoo looks very good. I wish that we could grow later Trimmers here.

Thank you, Mantis. I do like the Trimmers that I have and hate that he quit hybridizing. He was the one that advised fertilizing in November and March for more and better blooms though it was too hot here in March for that.
