I used Marvin impact/hurricane windows when we built in 2021 in FL. My windows have simulated divided lites with spacers, which, to me, give depth to the windows and a nicer look overall to the exterior. I have casements. My house is Spanish inspired so I did the classic one-wide pane pattern with horizontal grilles only.

Several people who replaced their windows in my neighborhood decided to get rid of most of the arches. The arched windows are actually framed as a full height rectangle with two curved plywood pieces to frame the arched top. Pop out the old window, pop out the curved pieces and you can replace with a larger rectangular window. Of course, you will have stucco that will need to be patched.

Unfortunately, we have a pretty strict HOA that probably wouldn’t approve those kind of renovations. And being retired the cost of impact windows here in Florida was a big enough decision for us. LOL. Could you explain or show an example of simulated divided lites with spacer - not familiar with that. Thanks.

I would never do grids in those windows .What purpose do the blinds serve ? IMO blinds and grids are way too buy
