I look and see an art piece that can be placed in an entrance area with a attractive vase and flowers. Or in another more contemplative location again to hold flowers or a small sculpture you can gaze at while reading or other thoughtful activities. The stair landing is not that type of space because it's a traffic flow passage.

It is small and needs a smaller area or small part of a larger area if you have one. It could help to separate and define that type of space.

It's so pretty, but a trip hazard on those stairs. The scale is off as well - too tiny for those high walls on the stairs. I would move that light and put some large modern art piece there. I had a 5' x 4' poster (attached) on a staircase like that and it was perfect. It may not be your taste, but you can see about the proportions for those stairs. I see that pretty piece in a bedroom or as a possible end table?
