Putting a duvet on is not difficult - you need to do the "burrito method" - it's quick and easy.

Your duvet is turned inside out (I wash my linen duvet covers inside out and just fold them that way so they are ready to use for the burrito method. Makes it easy to tie (the duvet's corner ties are right there since the duvet is turned inside out).

You simply lay the duvet cover flat on your bed + lay the duvet insert on top of the duvet cover + tie all the corners + roll the duvet starting at the top of the bed (down to the bottom of the bed). Once it's rolled, you simply stuff the roll into the open end at the bottom of the duvet (which should be at the bottom of the bed). Stuffing it into the open bottom is how you easily turn the duvet cover right side out - with the duvet now inside of the cover. All you have to do then is button/zip/tie the bottom (depending on what type of closing mechanism your duvet cover has).

It might sound confusing above - just search for "duvet burrito method" - you will find instructions + several videos showing exactly how it works. Once you've done it, it is super easy to do the next time.

I also button/zip/tie the bottom end before putting it into the washer/dryer. Otherwise, other items in with the duvet cover end up inside of the duvet.

I wash my linen duvet on gentle and dry it on gentle (low heat). I time it so that the duvet is SLIGHTLY damp when I take it out of the dryer. I then am able to lay it out and simply run my hands over the linen in order to remove most of the wrinkles.

I have around 15 linen duvets (king) just for my primary bedroom. I do not use a top sheet (that's the way beds are made in Europe - and I hate top sheets). I change my duvet cover frequently - so, there's not need for a top sheet (and I like wrapping myself up in my duvet = a tucked in top sheet wouldn't work. My SO has his own duvet because I don't like to share!

We use one duvet on the bed + place the second duvet (folded) across the foot of the bed. I have different colors/stripes in linen that I can mix and match with each other. Makes my bed look very comfy when made in the morning (like a PB bed).

I also use my duvet covers with a silk insert when the weather is warmer instead of my down insert.
