Rockport Gray exterior

Struggling to decide on exterior color.

My inspo is the first picture
I bought the exact brick and Rockport gray.

I am worried about the coldness of the Rockport gray in the sun

The second pic is your home? Where is the brick going? Definitely a cold color but tough to judge all on its own.

It is a very cold color. I am not crazy about your inspo picture, but, if you like it, then, stick with what you planned, but, add some really nice landscaping, and some color, so your house will look brighter and happier. Congratulations on your new home.

Oh, and next time, use poster paper for your sample colors, and move them around the house during the day, so you see them in different light, rather than make a hard to cover bunch of samples all over the house. You will need good primer to cover all of that before you paint it.

What color would you recommend? Would Rockport look okay?

I would stick with the Rockport that you picked out, and get your interest and color from your landscaping, to warm it all up and looks a bit more happy. If you are putting a door on that needs to be painted, then, paint it a brighter color. I wont suggest a color, be cause, everyone has a color that is your favorite. Pick the door color that makes you happy.

You are not taking into account the black roof on your house, the white windows, and the multi batten, which needs to be disguised. Too much of a good thing.

I would look for a different inspo pic. Where are you going to put the brick? The brick you have doesn't seem to be the same as the brick in the inspo pic. Are you putting inspo brick on the bottom of you house, so it will clash with the existing brick? Or are you assuming your brick is the same as the inspo brick.

The entire shape of your house is different. Your roof color is much darker. I'm just concerned that you won't get anything very similar to your inspo pic. I think you're going to end up with something more like this. If you love this, great. Go for it. But if this does not speak to you the way your inspo pic did, then rethink your color scheme.

Just put ranch exterior or gray ranch exterior into the Houzz search bar, pick photos or stories and scroll. Make sure look at the roof, too.

Also, don't forget that foundation plantings tend to hide any stone put at the bottom of the house. Don't invest in a veneer that you'll never see.
