I would just do to the bottom of the window and eliminate any issue with trying to attach open shelving to tile .OOPS just realized the other wall is to the ceiling tile alrady so IMO not you do the other wall to match

Too bad you already installed tile to the ceiling on the other wall. Now you have no choice but to do the same in the window wall.

The area with the tile to the ceiling is behind the range/cooktop, I'm assuming. How did you treat the area to the left of that? Can you show more photos of the kitchen please?

And how are the exposed edges finished off, if you don't have inside corners to end the tile run into them ...
