Fantastic!! With the heat setting in big time, our season is becoming more synchonized-Boss Lady, Mean Green, Sugar Magnolia and EITV all bloomed yesterday. Great clumps of these. Blackberry Dragon really shows out. Beautiful photo of SC Francis Busby. My big noid yellow looks happy in your garden! What a wonderful, colorful post!

KaTe's Smile really shines in the garden. What a nice yellow. I've always liked Sugar Magnolia. Debra used to grow it. I don't know if she is now, but the shade of pink is really sweet. Beautiful clump shot Kay...........Maryl

Such beautiful clump shots! You have something for everyone's tastes. I love Blackberry Dragon, Navaho Pony, and Deliverer. I love the shape and color of Perseus' Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash. That's Debra's seedling, isn't it?

I like Handwriting a lot. Is it shorter this year? Boss Lady appears to have its normal dominant height. The Perseus Sandals seedling seems playfully dancing. (A bit of splotchiness, but not major. Four buds on one scape--the long drought is probably showing its effects.) Blackberry has good height. The flowers on Jellyfish were too heavy here, but yours may be sturdier in full sun.

A medley of many different colors!

Thank you all for commenting. I had been unable to post for a week due to computer issues, then quite a storm hit our state resulting in hundreds of trees blown down and the resultant power outages. I had just responded to Kat's post and was writing to Maryl when them was a boom! and the power went. We did not lose a tree, just a limb but our daughter did lose one and this happened from North Alabama through just a little south of us. We er blessed to get our power restored this morning at about 7:00 A.M.

Thank you, Kate. We are no doubt close in timing with our blooms, with just a week or so difference. Mine were sitting in the camera while waiting for the computer.

Thank you Maryl. Kate was sweet enough to share her "Kate's Smile and it is a lovely yeallow; so bright and cheerful. Yes, Debra did grow Sweet Magnolia, it is a pretty thing and blooms very well where it is planted.

Thank you, Nancy.. And yes, Perseus Sandal's X Jumping Jack Flash is indeed Debra's wonderful seedling. It blooms so well and looks so impressive in a clump. The drought affected it, but it still did well. And you know I love color, and a lot of it so when I post there are always multiple colors. I rarely have Kate's massive clumps but they are still pretty.

Thank you, Mantis. Handwriting is always a pretty one, it is a bit shorter this year, but there is a lot of variety in that some are unfazed and some are affected by the drought.. Jellyfish took several years to reach acceptable strength. I. like you i imagine, do not like plants that flop around and very few of them will merit staying in my garden but I will give them a fair trial. Admittedly, Sweet Isabella sometimes flops but I do like the bloom so well that it is staying.

Wowzer Kay. So many gorgeous clumps. I always love Mean Green but not sure how it would do here with much hotter weather and would it lose its colors but looking at your pic, it hasn't skipped a beat. Nice photo of it. Spacecoast Francis Busby definitely is a show stopper. I think it is just started to scape here. I've been so busy planting perennials here I've lost track of which ones I see scapes coming up. We are due for a uptick to the 90's later this week. Hope they are wrong.

Thank you, Julia. Yes, normally here, Mean Green soon becomes a lighter though still very pretty. Also , Tahiti Sweetie, Long Legged Lap Dancer and some others will be lighter here. It has been cooler than usual and so I actually got to have the darker colors which I have enjoyed, but heat does affect things, as you know.

Kay: Thanks and good to know. Tahiti Sweetie is okay here at least that is what I recall but then again I could be wrong since I ususally photograph in the mornng hours when its typically cooler.
