Blooming on Saturday

The flowers continue to be fabulous. We have had so much rain the last couple of days and may get more tonight.

Bear Paw is a large flower on a tall scape. The stippling is normal for this flower.

Brazilian Flamingo

Cherry Pie a la Mode was very white today. I wish the eye were a more intense color.

We love the look of Heavenly The Great Pumpkin, but it does like our garden much. I am afraid it has too many southern ancestors.

King Crab is a favorite here.

Love for Jesus

Neon Flamingo

On Your Knees You Will Find Him had not been doing well after we divided it. It finally seems to have regained its strength.

Papa Goose had several large flowers open today. I think it is prettier in person than in a photo.

Quiet Wyatt usually has more apricot tones in an edge/no eye look.

More to come . . .

    Remembered Kisses was nice today.

    Rosy Spiketail

The scapes on Snarl are so short.

Tantrum was new last season. It is a reverse bitone from Margo Reed.

In my opinion, Tasmanian Tiger does not have a very pleasing color. It will probably leave the garden.

    The Bride of Dracula

Wolverine is never a very pleasing pink in our garden. It's a great grower and parent, but color is lacking.

Now for a couple of seedling photos.

This is Chomp x Happy Holidays to You. Bob wants to register this next year.

This seedling is Sun Bear X Sihir. We like the dark eye.

This seedling was showing off today. This is Twiggy X Out of Balance.

    That's all for me.

Brazilian Flamingo caught my eye today. King Crab is also an attention seeker! I like the looks of Tantrum. The Sun Bear seedling is striking. So many nice ones-I could have named others! Rain makes a difference, doesn’t it?

There's something about King Crab's color and form that always draws me in. Cherry Pie is looking fine. Mine should start blooming next week. Remembered Kisses is another red-eye cultivar I like.

I agree about King Crab. It definitely looks to be one to stand out. Neon Flamingo is a favorite of mine here but won't be blooming here for another couple of weeks. Nice selection of seedlings. So many creative seedlings.

Brazilian Flamingo and King Crab really got my attention. Really nice looking blooms. I agree with your comment about WOLVERINE. The pink color is nothing to write home about, but it is a good parent.

Brazilian Flamingo wow'd me. I've sent enabling vibes on to another person on this Mark Carpenter hybrid. Sevs are iffy with my pot system, but not for them........Neon Flamingo and Papa Goose are two others that strike a favorite avian chord with me in this post............Maryl

My reactions are similar to Kate's. I have always thought that Papa Goose didn't look that good in pictures, so your observation is interesting. Is Rosy Spiketail again pleasing to you, as for a few years you were disappointed? Ditto on Wolverine.

I like Rosy Spiketail Nancy, and I expect Chomp X Happy Holidays to You will be a good one. Sun Bear X Sihir looks good too. Bride of Dracula was fantastic this year.. It had such a long bloom period and was usually at least 6 or 8 blooms at the time.
