Mostly UFs in Today's Post

The temperatures are going cooler this week. With night temps in the 50s and low 60s, a lot of my daylilies will have trouble opening. The low this morning was 56, and only a few UFs were open correctly by 9 a.m.

Michael Davisson had much darker color after rain and coller temps. I'm so glad to see this one with tall scapes this season. It was always short in Nashville, and here last year. I don't think it's the registered 35 inches yet, but it is in the 30s now. It's increased a bit since moving.

Absolute Ripper didn't bloom last year, but it sent up scapes on four of its six fans this year. Two scapes are tall, and two scapes are short.

(Integrated Logistics X Sugar Magnolia) X Mister Mayor #2 with its first flower ever.

Core Values X Bowtie Affair finally showed its complex pattern. It had about seven blooms today, and all showed varying amount of patterning in the eye. This bloom had the best pattern. I guess it needs cooler temps that what we've had to turn on the kaleidescope.

Judy's Jewel X Bubblegum Queen #1, an evergreen, is doing great after settling in. It's outdoing parent BQ with buds and branching this time. I think I'll have a couple of scapes with bud counts in the 20s.

Judy's Jewel X Bubblegum Queen #2, a semi-evergreen, seems more affected by the harsh winter with super short scapes and fewer buds than last year. (Last year this one had 18 buds on a couple of scapes.)
