Get a quilt. They come in all sorts of designs from traditonal to figurative to modern. They are light, so they are unlikely to fall off and if they do, they are unlikely to harm your babies. While none of these is the most beautiful of quilts, you get the idea.

Babies are on their backs for at least a year. Give them something engaging to look at. One over each crib. It will also present visually on the wall.

A mirror over each crib is an additional thought. There are many baby safe mirrors on amazon, etsy.

THe stuff on the shelf would also need to be gone. I think something hung from the ceiling like mobiles would be a good idea for right now . Not too many babies spen a year on their backs in my experience they roll over quickly for sure . There are some fun projector type things to just use on the wall with no fear of anything falling. Vtech makes some cool ones even allowing you to record your voice.

You need to remove the shelves on the left and center the cribs against the wall. Those shelves look out of place and are a safety hazard. Infants arent usually in their cribs immediately so you have time. It doesnt have to be completed before arrival. That said there are so many things you can do wallpaper of course but if you shy away from Wallpaper consider painting the room a blush pink (Assuming girls?) then do a gallery wall above the crib. Choose a theme , here I chose Ballet since I noticed the photo on the shelf. You can mix in name art or initital art as well.

Or you can have a canopy made to span the cribs
