She’s coming over tomorrow for a joint DS2 35th birthday / Fathers’ Day celebration and I may have to sneak her out of the house to show her off to the neighbors! Our community is, as you might expect, very family oriented and grandchildren are like visiting celebrities 😁 I get so excited when the Girl Scout granddaughters are out selling cookies. There’s no soliciting allowed so they only go to homes their grandparents have preapproved / prewarned, lol. I love to hear their pitches and bore them silly with my stories of cookie selling in the 70’s 😎 I can’t wait until Lucy is in need of wise cookie counsel from granny!

Dippity Do? They do not still make that?!

The name is on a product called Girls With Curls, but I’ve never seen it— we use that as a generic term for all hair gel. DH and I grew up in the Dipppity Do era and our mothers both used it liberally.

Learning to put away their clothes so they can find everything quickly each morning for camp. They have to pack water shoes , swim suits and shirts and dry clothes and their lunch bags with snacks ( I fill their lunches per daily requests ) large metal water bottles with ice water. Their backpacks are heavy and they hike up and down significant hills with them 9-3 every day.

Oldest grandson is 17 will be a senior at Milton High School in Milton GA top football team in the US he is a wide receiver being recruited by a number of Universities. You should see the videos from camp last week ! These are FOUR FOOT BOX jumps alternating legs no pause between!

Our 14 yr old grandson here in Lexington star soccer goalie ” keep” making a

tremendous save.

Kicking the championship winning point to break the tie. Team charged him in jubilation with the traditional ice water !

Music lessons with Tappy in the house and in his studio. Today is Ewi. Yes he has 3 different keyboards and 2 clarinets as well. 😳❤️😂

Don't be mad.... I don't have any human grandchildren yet, but I have do have six adorable granddogs. I'll share just one -this is Meadow's baby, adopted by my son and gf. Thanks to very active parents, she's already been hiking, camping, kayaking and more at six months old. (Meadow was the street dog DD and I rescued in Nov., who promptly gave birth to 12 puppies! She is still looking for a home).

@Kswl no Aedyn is our bonus grandson. DD’s DH had our wonderful Aedyn when he met DD. Our little Lennox and his half brother look identical ! No one knows where the tremendous athleticism or 6’3” 210# build comes from!!

Still Trailing, if by chance your grandson plays for the UT Longhorns, I have a lakehouse just outside of Austin that you would be welcome to stay in when you visit.

Love the musical pictures C! Musical training is IMO one of the most important things you can offer a child. Love that your DH has his own home studio!

Older turns 11 in 8 days. Younger will be 7 in November. They are both tiny for their ages.

Unfortunately, not with me :-( DD sent me pic from the weekend. Her dad has a beach house so they spend a lot of weekends there (for the beach, not the dad ;-)). They are all beach babies.
