There's nothing the matter with the second table, but it's kind of generic country, and the other furniture is not really country.

I'm partial to stretcher bars, so I really like the first table!

The first tableapoears less heavy so may be better for a small space. Just be sure chairs can be pulled under it without running into the crossbars.

Nice choice. Love the scallops. I'm a fan of gateleg tables, though, for small spaces if you can find one that fits the design.

In two out of three of the configurations of studios that are possible, there is a window area where a round table would work, and also round tables can float a little more (?). I thought about a gateleg working in one style of apartment, but I think it would make more sense in this case to split people between this table and a card table if there are 5 or more, which will be a rarity.

I like your first choice, too. But the scallops also read ”country” to me on what looks like light pine-ish wood. I’d still prefer that one, though. Depending on the other elements, it could be painted and be even more a statement piece.

Most of the furniture is kind of french countryish except for the sofa.
