I am redoing my master bath and replacing my whirlpool tub with a doorless, curbless shower with a solid surface pan and Dekton or solid surface walls. I already have a Neptune Wind soaking tub to replace the built-in acrylic shower that was in the bottom right corner. The side wall is going to be a partition wall, 80" high. I don't want any glass on the shower (I want privacy and easy clean). Our ceilings are 9'.

Will a 4' long side wall contain the vast majority of the spray? I'd like to keep the wall as narrow as is practical to keep the room as open as possible. We will have heated floors and the entire bath area floor will be waterproofed so I'm not worried about damage. But I don't want a lot of water beyond the shower. I'd prefer the ledge on the back wall to not have to wrap that corner and to make it and easier to add grab bars but that adds 4" of length.

And would shower head placement make a significant difference? I was thinking that having it on the side wall, the opposite wall will block the spray more than having it on the back wall where it is pointed to toward the entrance. Or how about putting it in on of the back corners?
