The bud count this year may be abnormal. The veins are very prominent in your Carmen seedlings.

Those bud counts on your seedlings are very good. You should indeed be proud of your seedlings! Coral Majority is a nice rich color. I redid the bed last fall that had Siloam Amazing Grace and most pouted this year and did not bloom-good to see yours.

Great news on the seedlings. It seems to methe high bud counts are from the VT in your mixes. Such great results from those mixes.

Pretty seedlings with loads of buds. Sounds good to me.......Although in our heat I am reminded of how important the substance of the petals is. I have a new one that melts so badly I think I could read newspaper through it by mid afternoon........I like Siloam Amazing Grace. Nice shade of yellow.................Maryl

Maryl, Siloam Amazing Grace has great substance!!! The VTs have pretty good substance and beyond that they can handle the heat well. Since they are so late, they often don't bloom until late July and that is when the heat is high. They can take it even though they are bred in Vermont. By using them in crosses, it gives me large bud counts every year as well as strong plants and blooms.

That's good information Brad. Some of the VTs you post every year are most interesting. I just assumed they would melt in temperatures in the mid 90's to over 100......Also good to know about Siloam Amazing Grace. You enabler you. You know I don't have room for another yellow - LOL.....Maryl

Seedlings looks good. When I grew Coral Majority in NYS it was hard for me always to get a good pic since the color is so intense. Yours looks good.
