Its a very very personal opinion. You either love patina and are willing to live with the patina that evolves with unlacquered brass or you don't. If you don;t then you will spend a lot of time and effort pollishing them to not show that patina. The question i would ask myself is do you love the way they look new? Or do you love the way they look older? Those are really the only two questions to ask. If you like the way it looks new then get lacquered brass and call it a day and save yourself the time and labor of polishing them.
