Tuesday's blooms (6/30)

Heat index will be climbing over the next several days, so I will be in the garden early in the morning.

WONDER OF IT ALL: When it opens without getting hung up, it is gorgeous. This is my type of flower. It is always taller than registered.

BILL NORRIS: Blooms are always perfect

SILOAM MELVIN'S YELLOW: A 5x5 poly bloom

PRINCE POPPYCOCK: One of my favorite favorite blooms. It has a great plant under it - good bud count, good branching, pod and pollen fertile.

THE GIFT OF GIVING: This is a better photo of it. Great color!

MANDALAY BAY MUSIC

PHILLIES' PINSTRIPE: I need to give it a few more blooms for it to really showoff what it looks like. I have the same experience with MAMA'S CHERRY PIE and MARY ALICE STOKES. As the season progresses, the lighter the edges become.

DING DONG DITTY: A Bennett intro

COCKY AND BOLD: A Bennett intro. It is more pink in person. The sun makes it look more peach.

Bill Norris is a great one. Now ignored or shunned by most, but it is so reliable and gives that early season gleam. You certainly sing the praises of Prince P.

WOIA is a gorgeous bloom-when it’s good, it’s very good! Blooms on mine open early and tend to hang up. Love the color on The Gift of Giving. Prince Poppycock is showing some blue.

Wonder of It All can be drop-dead gorgeous when it opens properly. So there were so many days when it hung up, I didn't bring it with me. Your photo is beautiful! Prince Poppycock stands out for its lovely colors with the blue tones. Mandalay Bay Music is always one of my favorites. Keep the photos coming!

I like Prince Poppycock, and also Phillie's Pinstripe. Cocky and Bold is a delicate beauty. What size is it, David?

The blooms are 6 to 6.5 inches. The petal width makes them look larger.
