Love these garden shots. Conspiracy Theory is wonderful in that picture. Fighting Fire is still so pretty. Grandmas Smile seedling has some great budding!

Sword of the Spirit looks like my kind of flower. The white toothy edge looks great. Fighting Fire also looks very good. Debra, what kind of camera or phone do you use to take your pictures? The colors are so vivid.

David - I use an old Nikon D70 for most of my pictures. It has a special flower setting.

Kate - Conspiracy Theory does make a big statement in the garden. I should have given it more room because its foliage is covering up Make It Snappy and Chicago Girls. The Grandma's Smile seedling is blooming later in the season than it has in past years.

The Doctor is definitely not early midseason here; it started not too recently. We are still away from peak. Sword J just started here also. A bit shorter. Very nice pics of the Davissons!

Mantis - I'm surprised you haven't peaked yet. Sword of Justice is taller than it was for me last year, but not as tall as it was in Nashville.

As soon as I saw Sword of Spirit I knew it had to be an Emmerich by the grape purple color. She seems to have settled on that shade of purple for the last decade or so.......Conspiracy Theory catches my eye. It sure lights up all those other colors. Pretty group shot........Maryl

I'm not much for blooms with teeth, but Sword of the Spirit is beautiful! Nice to see all the buds on a pretty one like Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine. FYI, Zuzu's Treasure has its best year yet for me, lots and lots of blooms!

Brad and Maryl - Sword of the Spirit is an Emmerich, and it has a larger bloom than most of her other purples - 7 inches.

Brad - I'm glad to hear Zuzu's Treasure is having a good year for you. I would say this is the worst year it's ever had for me - very few buds and smaller than normal flowers.
