Monday photos up north

A bit cooler today, still humid. A few of my tall daylilies have a leaning scape after being beat up by the strong storms two days ago. I am still having some first blooms not opening well…..that hasnt been a problem in the past. A week of blooms on Mary’s Baby have not been photo friendly.

I had some more first blooms today. Here are the ffos.

Minnesota Morning has been a prolific plant, always nice blooms.

Scandinavia is well budded.

Hearts Abound has been here forever.

Dances with Giraffes started with four blooms.

Siloam Peony Display has trouble opening.

Hummer also having trouble opening today.

Sunny Intervals is fairly new here.

Awesome Artist is well budded.

Litte Grapette has been here forever, nice clump.

Kissed by Moonlight really took off this season. Good increase, tall and well budded, thanks Debra.

Techny Spider will be leaving the garden, four years and one poorly budded scape, the usual perfomance.

Forsyth Flaming Snow is also leaving, three years in an ideal spot and one poorly budded scape. Still the One is leaving for languishing too long.

Kissed, I see, is a Douglas. Is it taller than the registered 28? I always like pics of Buzz Saw, and Awesome Artist (Lambertson) also caught my eye.

Kissed scapes are 34” this season. I didnt measure last season but I am sure they are taller now.

Kissed by Moonlight is so pretty. I’m sorry Techny Spider is not performing well. I always liked your photos of it but if they can’t behave, they can’t stay!! Great shot of Little Grapette-I have had that one for years as well. Awesome Artist is such a delicate color.

Glad to see Kissed By Moonlight is doing well! Minnesota Morning and Scandinavia are my favorites of these. I understand why you're giving the boot to those three poor performers. Space is at a premium.

Awesome Artist is so sweet looking. I can't see it having the same look in 100 degree heat, but it reminds me of Easter with it's pastel colors. Kissed by Moonlight is another pretty one, just not as delicate and girlie looking as Awesome Artist........Buzz Saw has gone down hill here for the last couple years. I think winter and my pot system are slowly doing a number on it. It had 4 blooms this year. It's a shame as I like it so much..........Maryl

Kissed by Moonlight is my favorite, but Scandinavia is a pretty one. Several poor performers left my garden this year too.
