What has been blooming here

We've had rain storms for a couple of days which we needed badly. Today is rain free so far. The foliage here on most of the daylilies is terrible. However, other perennials seemed to have weathered the "heat dome" pretty good.

Telperion - new to my garden this spring when I got it from Korth, I really like this one.

Sunset Mesa - I got this from Hanson and planted last fall. Wish the scapes were taller and it has had a few openings that were less than stellar. I'm sure next year it will shine.

Orange Firecracker - This one is one I got from Reimer last fall. Hope it gets some height next year.

Large blooms and always opens well.

Boundless Beauty - doing really good this season. Lots of scapes and buds.

Catastrophe Waitress really showed its deeper colors this year.

Earth And All Stars showing its deeper color before the heat moved in. Another banner year for it.

Elevated Manners - planted this spring and these blooms are huge. Hope next year the scapes it a bit taller. An EMO in cool and hot weather.

Great Expression - new this spring it does fully open flat. Has to get moved in the fall.

Shape Of Water - its FFOs. it seems to like the rain for opening and has a pleated look. I got it from Hanson last fall.

Lambeau Leap - another Korth I got this spring and its a winner for me.. We shall see if the height improves next year.

Liquid Lavender - another Reimer I got from him last fall. Hope it gets more height next year.

Cosmic Waves - another from Reimer last fall. Small blooms and I'm not seeing much of a pattern on this one. Nees to get more height.

I'll add more daylilies on another day but will share now some garden snippets. My garden went wild LOL.

Have any of you seen buds go like this? It is on Carolina Sugar Daddy

So many nice ones! I like the shape, color and edge on Telperion. Catastrophe Waitress looks good with the darker color. Liquid Lavender and Shape of Water have colors I like. Your other perennials look fabulous. I love all the daisy-type flowers!

Now THAT is a cottage garden!!!I love it. And your bunting! And the tractor solar light! Telperion is the form and color I do like. Lambeau Leap-another one whose color I like-and the name. I can’t guess on your buds. When my red bugs pierce the buds, they just dry up and fall off-nothing like this.

    Wonderful photos.

    Julia,

TELPERION is my kind of bloom - Gorgeous! SUNSET MESA should put on a show next year. It is a consistent performer in my garden with 4+ way branching. Your garden shots are fantastic. Makes me think that I have too many daylilies for just a minute.LOL!

You have a nice blend of white and pink coneflowers, along with the gloriosa daisies. The fence is a classy background, and of course, not a weed in sight. Some areas cottage garden style, while others neatly arranged. Boundless does have a lot of buds; some nice flowers and some tangled.

Love your garden shots! Looks like the new fencing is doing its job, dont see any deer damage. Your hard work is paying off, so lovely!

Your killing me with this post. I'm supposed to be downsizing. The garden shots are fantastic. The two Korth's are my favorites. The Korths I've tried have been none too vigorous, but the colors are great.............Maryl

I love that "wild garden"! What a lovely clump of Catastrophe Waitress. Is that last purple clump shot more of Cosmic Rays? I like it, the blooms are pretty. Lambeau Leap ia such a nice bright yellow. Orange Firecracker should get height for you. I have that one. A very nice post, Julia. Lots of pretty color and I do love al the plants together.

Thank you all for the comments. We had 2 thunderstorms push through yesterday adding to our rainfall amounts. We had a few issues pop up here so hopefully no more surprises. More pics to come but now I need to catch on the forum posts.
