how did the soapstone hold up?

Asking 15 years later - any chance we could see how the soapstone counters have held up? :)

    Hi,

I can't tell you how these counters specifically held up as I haven't been back to the house. However, I can tell you that I have soapstone in my 15 year old kitchen and the counters look great. Soapstone can simply be sanded and re-oiled if you get a scratch or chip. In the basement of my house I have a soapstone sink that is over 100 years old. It is a great material.
