Bathroom Tile Design Help

Second try- I’m remodeling my primary bathroom and love these two tiles. I’m wondering if I can make them work together in my bathroom. I’m thinking the one on the right for the bathroom floor and shower walls. Maybe the one on the left for an accent shower wall? It is textured but only slightly. Thank you for any advice. (I won’t be using either of these for shower floor though.)

is the small square your countertop?

Yes. It’s called translucent driftwood from KraftMaid Vantage. The photo looks darker but it is a bit lighter with a slight gray undertone. The quartz countertop Calacatta Elysio. I’m trying to stay warm taupe. Here’s closer…

Do one for bathroom floor and shower floor and the other for the shower walls. Although they are both nice, there isn't specific enough interest in either one to merit it being an accent wall. (Which is fine. When you pick a beautiful combination for a room, no need for accent walls.)

Be sure they are DCOF rated higher than .42 so you know they will provide enough traction in a bathroom. A company may say for use in bathroom, for use on floor, but the only way to know you are getting a tile to prevent slippage is to go by the DCOF rating. Sometimes it is readily available, sometimes you need to call to find it out.

Thank you! I agree that they are very similar.. They are both good for bathroom floors, but I can’t use either for the shower floor. I’m doing a center drain so I’m planning to do a 2x2 square mosaic. Do you think the one on the left would look nice on all shower walls? It will end up blending together and looking like all vertical texture, which I like. I’m just not sure.

Eliminate the vertical texture, and sign me not in love, just yet?

I'm not for accent walls, generally, and we have no idea size of bath, layout of bath........A picture ( several) of the existing and your plan would be helpful.

Watch out for competing veins and pattern /veins on a counter? Not always necessary ! or even desirable.

For a calming, soothing look I generally prefer one tile used throughout.

One tile for all. I like 12 x24 porcelain in a nice plain neutral with matching grout it is easy to change items like apint and accessories down the road and IMO makes a nice simple background in a small space . If an accent tile is wanted do the backsplash or the counter both easy to change later .I use the same tile only smaller for shower floor or sometimes a prefab shower floor .Txture never on a shower wall IMHO

Another vote for one tile. Especially since those tiles don't work well together. The vertical one looks quite modern and the veined one more traditional/classic. I like Jan's idea of the 2x2 for the shower floor.

Yes, another vote for one tile throughout the whole bath for a consistent look.

Those 2 tiles don't really belong in the same bathroom. Pattern is not complementary and color is just a bit off to make the end product look like a mismatch.

Find a porcelain floor/wall tile that has a matching mosaic for the shower floor.

Visit your local independent tile stores for more tile options and to support small/local businesses.

I appreciate all the advice! I need it! I am posting some current pics of the bathroom before. The plan is to have a larger shower, one long double sink vanity, and a makeup vanity. I’ll also attach AI layout pics and some of my inspiration pics. I hope this all makes sense.)

Pac Feel Pearl has a collection of coordinating patterns featuring the same color, no need to worry about color matching. I used the collection in my bathroom. Here's a pic from their website
