Mixed Metals

Are their guidelines to mixing metal finishes? This room has stainless steel appliances, sinks and faucets and the lighting appears to be antiqued bronze. I am wrestling with this problem in my current house. I want a cohesive look but am not sure if there are methods to help make these decisions.
