Here are a few more that bloomed here this season.

ROCKS CRY OUT - another one that I have two plantings of that I need to rehome one of them. Both of them grow very good here. Well above the foliage. Very deep in color during our cooler days and the first of all the daylilies to bloom here this season..It can fade a bit during very high temps.

ROCK OF REFUGE - from Korth this spring and I love the color.

TAHITI SWEETIE - always tall and well budded. Another I have two clumps of that I need to rehome one of them.

ISLE OF PATMOS - Showed really deep colors this season. Another one I have 2 plantings of that I need to rehome. I did get lighter when we went through the 100 degree days.

MAUI SUNRISE - moved it last fall to a new spot. Some blooms are deeper red color and others have more a hint of orange.

BOSS LADY - planted last fall but still have a decent scape height.

SMOOTH TALKING STRANGER - got this from Davisson this spring. Jury is out on this one as to bloom color. We will see what it looks like next season.

The crape mrytle has started blooming. Unfortunately one of the branches will need to be cut as it is leaning too far over. I had to do a major trim of it this spring because of the winter damage.This pic was taken this morning and you can see how hazy it has been here with the smoke. You almost think it is fog.

I think that is it for this post. I'm sure I missed several others to post but I'm so anxious to get back outside in the garden but probably not until Sunday or Monday. If anyone is interested in any of the ones I noted I was trying to rehome, let me know.

A lot of real beauties, Julia. I see why you like ROCK OF REFUGE. It is a great color. Tahiti Sweetie and Maui Sunrise are very pretty, I always enjoy seeing them.

Isle of Patmos has such dark, rich color for you! Tahiti Sweetie and Boss Lady make nice clumps.. Maui Sunrise has been a variety of orange shades for me this year. The smokey air beyond your crepe myrtles does look like fog. I hope this smoke dissapates soon.

Such nice photos! Good to see Isle of Patmos. Mine is in a bed that has a tree sucking the nutrients and water from the daylilies closest to it. Isle did not even bloom this year. I like the Rock of Refuge bloom and color. Great picture of Tahiti Sweetie. The smoke is terrible and so far reaching.

The picture of the Crape Myrtles has a whole story to it. The smoke makes the scene atmospheric as if we were somewhere in the Smokey Mountains or England. You almost forget how damaging it is to Canada and the other people in its path. Your fence is such a nice element in the landscape and I like all the flowers up front.....Are your Crape Myrtles a winter hardy hybrid for your area? I have "leaners" on two of my Crape Myrtles because of the varity they are, so occasionally I have to tie them up to the more sturdy branches until the wood hardens enough to support the weight of the top flowers in a season or two......On to daylilies, I think I like the Korth the best today. Rock of Refuge. He comes up with some nice colors......Maryl

Rock of R has a good color, but has stayed short here. It is a great season for Tahiti.

Maryl: Yes, Crape Myrtles do survive here but this years winter was more than we've experienced since moving here. Ice on top of 8 inches of snow did not help either.

I have several other ones in the hillside gardens which are smaller but the deer decided to munch on them as well as several other bushes I have in that garden area. No fencing in that area but I'm thinking about possibly fencing off.
