Any of them could work.

My studio is for weaving, and I prefer a neutral wall tone. I have overhead recessed lighting when I need extra lighting oomph, but I usually prefer using task lighting the majority of the time. Mine is currently painted BM Rodeo which is a warm gray (previous owner color choice). I have windows on three sides, but the light is indirect most of the year so the color feels slightly darker than it is. It is neutral but cozy with floor and table lamps.

Thanks Benjamin. That color wasn’t even on my radar but I ordered a sample set of warm grays and then really liked it! In person I feel Iike it’s just a bit more pink while the Drift of Mist is a bit more yellow.

This question reminded me of a homeowner we worked with recently.

@munchkin928, it can seem counterintuitive, but if a room has less outside lighting, a color with darker lrv really does *feel* better and cozier, and that is important in a creative space. It is important to have good cozy lighting though when you walk into the room. You can turn on task lighting when you need it, but let the room welcome you and allow your creativity to relax and flow.

I have always liked a craft room, to be light and bright and a real color, rather than a neutral. Something that gives a happy vibe to work in.

My space is used for taking photographs much of the time. I lean toward darker colors but was afraid I would get too much color reflection so I kept walls lights ( Alabaster) , and have a ton of art hung ( gallery walls) and darker curtains. The room gets a lot of natural light from south and west so it works well for me. I can get good photos and have the vibrant space I love to be in. My daughter has her art space in basement , so not ideal light conditions. She does a lot of color work and is set up with plenty of task lighting with overhead and Ott lights.

Thank you daki, cat and SM. I'm also planning to do some photography in the space and a lot of looking at color carefully so I wanted to keep things very neutral and light. I do understand everyone else's point about coziness and happy vibes though - hopefully I'll be able to get that in there with my decor and furniture choices!
