I've known my friends Fred and Sue for about 30 years. We met at the Free-State Daylily Society and have been trading plants ever since. He got me to like spiders and unusual forms. He is now trying to get me to like doubles. I am not too sure about adding a lot of doubles to the collection, as I don't intend to breed for them.

This is the upper portion of his garden with an 8 foot fence surrounding his entire backyard. They live in an area where the deer seem to be as plentiful as the people. I have seen deer running around in this area at 1:00 pm. It is scary to drive, as you never know when one of those critters is going to run out in front of you.

Opposite of this bed is a bed of beautiful large hostas

This is now heading down to the main daylily area.

42nd Street - I actually like this old double

Clark Gable - The best double I saw in his garden.

Cranberry Octopus - an interesting looking bloom. I also have a picture from Gettysburg daylilies and it looks just like this.

MAGNETIC SPRINGS: I really liked this one. Fred said he will give me a piece.

STREAKIN' AROUND - one scape has the broken pattern and the other scape is blooming gold. I hate it when they do that. I've heard that Explosion in the Paint Factory can do that.

LET THE SEA RESOUND - looks better than Karol's image. I am reconsidering this one.

PANTIES ON FIRE - Fred says that he is giving me a piece of this one. Crossing this with FIREHEART might be a good cross.

Banned in Boston - Apparently Doris Simpson was going to compost it because she did not like it. Since she was a member of Free-State Daylily Society, a couple of the members convinced her to introduce it.
