Beautiful arrangement!

I have sold a few dahlias last year and this year. Not the tubers alone, but I pot up the tubers and when they are a few inches tall I sell them. I just usually put an ad on craigslist.

I know craigslist is practically dead now, but I'm not on social media. And I do get responses through craigslist, even if it isn't the 30 people who used to repsond in ten minutes lol. If you ARE on social media, you could use Facebook Marketplace. My kids find a lot of good stuff there.

My level of selling is small potatoes lol - I think I sold 20-30 extra dahlia starts I had. So maybe this way wouldn't work for you, but it's an option.

Just remember to be safe - IMO, never have someone come to your house, and always meet in a public place with others around, for the handoff.

P.S. You could try a trade this way too, I suppose. Perhaps offer them for sale or trade and see if/what kind of offers you get!

P.P.S. It might be too late for this season, but in the future try asking this question on other forums - perennials, the SoCal forum, or even roses. This dahlia forum is rather dead while the others still have more activity, and you'll probably get more responses. Good luck! :)

@diggerdee zone 6 CT, Thanks Dee for your reply! That’s a good idea of selling them as plants instead of tubers. I joined a few Facebook dahlia groups and hope to trade with local gardeners.

Lol, it's alot more WORK selling them as plants! But I guess I always worry that if I just sell the tuber, it may not be viable. Even if I sell them after eyes appear, I worry. Which I guess I shouldn't. I BUY them that way from big-name dahlia nurseries lol. But still.

So I dig out a hundred pots from my garage, and pay for my expensive potting mix (which is actually why I sell them for a few bucks, hoping to make back some of the money from the potting mix!) and spend HOURS potting up, and at least if they have leafed out I feel the rest is now on the buyer.

What is the small yellow flower in the arrangement you posted? That IS your arrangement, right? It's really so beautiful!

@diggerdee zone 6 CT, Thanks for your kind words. Yes, this is my arrangement. All from my garden. The small highlighter yellow flowers are Hunnemannia fumariifolia (Mexican Tulip Poppy). It‘s one of my favorite colors, and the bloom has a surprisingly good vaselife. Buds will also open in a vase.
