Here are three dahlias that look similar in terms of coloring and form:

KA's Brittany's Favorite, Karma Caroline, and RM Illusion. Karma Caroline has more yellow toward the center than the either two. I took a photo outdoors in sun, and then indoors. Lighting matters! I also think my phone doesn't really capture the intricate colors.

In the garden, this is Karma Caroline in front, closer to camera. Obiously much lower growing than the KA Brittany's Favorite behind it. But both are healthy, drama free, sturdy stems. Longer on KA BF. RM Illusion is just starting to pop, so not covered in blooms like these two. But flower is larger, and the plant is supposed to get much, much taller. I'm fairly new to dahlias, but have read about "clock-faced" dahlias -- I think RM Illusion might be a clock-faced dahlia. But may be too early to tell. Have only had 2 blooms thus far.

And these two are not really "alike" -- but they are both peach. RM Peachy Pink and KAs Whisper:

This is Whisper (Megan Dean behind). Whisper seems more vigorous than Peachy Pink. The first blooms of Peachy Pink were more orange than I was expecting, but when I bring them indoors they get more of the pink tones. So maybe as summer progresses they will, too!

I don’t have Dahlias that have both the same form and color. However, I do grow dahlias of different forms of the same color/color family, e.g. Sandia Brocade, April Heather, Crichton Honey and Labyrinth. Bloomquist Sue has the same colors, but the green center seems to change the tone of the bloom.

I think what I am learning the most this season is the frequency between blooms and vase life of each variety I’m growing.
