Ideas for small laundry room

Hello! Due to a laundry room leak, we are needing to reconstruct our laundry room. I would love ideas for how to make this space more useful and beautiful. The space is 7’10” long by 6’2” wide. We have a topload washer and front load dryer that will stay. I’ll likely get a new utility sink. The cabinets may stay but I’m open to getting new cabinets. I have utilized the hanging bar to hang dry clothes alot, but the set up is awkward, especially accessing the sink in the corner. I need task lighting over the sink. I do not like the current color. I’d prefer something deep blue or deep green or neutral white. I am including a picture of the current laundry room and an inspo print of an image that I love. It is quirky, floral, sexy and simple.

IMO if the print is one you love then the floors need to be plain and as for the rest , move the W/D so that they sit right under the wall cabinets then the sink will be easier to access . MUch better lighting for sure and pot lights in the ceiling 4" LED 4000K should do the trick. Since I acnnot see the wole space not sure about what else can be done .I have never had a laundry sink , never hang clothes to dry only 2 chashmere sweaters I lay on towels on top of the washer to dry .New washers and dryers have so many cycles most of the old ideas are no longer needed I would at least just do a hanging ack thta pulls out from the wall when needed if it is a must Then that print can go on that wall where you have the rod now The new pullout on the wall facing the W/D

Are you open to the possibility of a stacked washer/dryer? That would free up some space for possibly installing a short section of cabinetry. Even many laundry closets incorporte a flat surface for folding laundry.

If you have the room to add a storage cabinet to the right as you enter the room, then consider removing the wall cabinets. Will the flooring be removed due to the leak?

As Emily shows, push the washer and dryer to the left wall. The cabinets can stay where they are since they fit well and provide good storage hidden behind the doors. Pull the new sink outwards to match the washer and dryer depth. Hang the artwork over the sink and put the paper towels on the right wall. Shorten the pole for drying laundry or move it to the adjacent wall (not seen) to keep drying clothes out of the way when you use the sink.
