It is supposed to be a very dwarf/compact double macro rebloomer so good for pots. Nice shade of light pink. By when does it produce its first flush of blooms in your zone? and the second flush?

This is its first spring and early summer in my garden.

I will know better come next season.

Rouge, that's lovely. Love the variegation with it too. Just curious - did you have issues with it overwintering in the ground? Is that why you transplanted it to the pot? Or did you just want to be on the safe side?

Good questions Dee.

A couple of reasons I moved it:

- it was at the back and was going to be too small to be noticed (I replaced it with a variety that should grow taller)

- I think it will more reliably produce more blooms if I can bring it into the garage over the winter

Thanks rouge. I was just telling a co-worker about this hydrangea this morning, after seeing this thread. She is new to gardening and lives in a condo. While she has a bit of land to plant in, she is using a lot of pots. I told her this one may work in a pot but we're not sure about overwintering yet. But she is going to look into it (or maybe those other "groundcover" hydrangeas that were on a recent thread)
