I am going to install several rain gardens on our property. While I have installed several rain gardens, I have never done so on a significant slope. We have heavy erosion in our back and side yards, which gets worse with every significant rain event, so I am going to install a series of rain gardens to help slow the flow and reduce the erosion!

The source of the runoff is from our roof and the swale that captures water from our neighbors and carries it down through the middle of our yard. My initial rain garden did a great job of capturing the water from the neighbors until their landscaper regraded their yard. Now that water flows AROUND the rain garden. :( HUGE BUMMER.

I would love to know if anyone has installed a series of rain gardens on a decent slope. I don't yet know the percentage.
