I don't know colors for this rendering, but it shows a different sort of greens.

the SW Rosemary is not too dark for an exterior application. especially South facing.

I would not do a black door either.

The Rosemary could be nice. Suggest no shutters since there’s a lot going on in front. The windows aren’t really the right style/size for them, especially the uppers. The link PPF posted is helpful.

Your house would be more attractive if the paint scheme was less busy. 6 different colours is a lot. My suggestions:

- Only one gray shade. You have enough interest with your 4-gabled roofline, fancy gable trim and the multiple materials.

- A house looks more welcoming when the focus is on the front door instead of the garage doors. Paint the garage doors the same colour as the house so they become less important visually. White makes them "pop" to attention. For that reason a white front door would look good, but I left yours red. The trim looks better painted the same as the door.

- I painted the corner trim and the downspouts to match the wall that they are on.

- I removed the shutters and just trimmed them out in white.

I agree with others that you should simplify your color scheme. I'd start by removing the shutters. Most are undersized for the windows. Then, I'd have two siding colors. If your wood shingles are natural, I'd keep them and do one green. I like a darker green on the garage doors. I don't think the red door goes with the green siding.

All those gables, disparate sidings, two garage doors, each under different roof lines, as Phoebe said "my eyes, my eyes". Do one color; work with the orientation of the house.

The advantage of white is that the trim pieces no longer "pop".

There's a lot of colors going on here, I think the red door doesn't really work with the green siding colors. I would consider removing the shutters and maybe replace the front door with a wooden one that matches your shake shingles.

I'd downplay the detail...it's still there, just more subtle. Remove the shutters. A warm off-white paint for siding. Keep the white trim and white garage doors.

^The all white with wood shingles is a bit distracting for me. It pulls my focus to the shingles. IDK, would all white be better, or just something darker with the shingles for more balance (such as other examples here)?
