To paint or stain antique vanity?

Need opinions on whether to paint or stain antique vanity. Planning to possibly install white plantation shutters or curtains for window?- Any suggestions?

I think it's a lovely cabinet. I'd just get the plantation shutters...that's it. :)

Agreed, the vanity looks good from the side view in the photo. This room just needs some finishing touches.

Don't paint it! It's beautiful! I love plantation shutters, but I think curtains would look better in there. Choose a brighter accent color to go with. Maybe a dark purple?

Purple is my favourite colour so I might go with that. Thanks for the tips everyone!

I would paint it! Its a beautiful antique piece! Give it a face lift... Would help bring a little life and brightness to the room as well

Please don't paint it, it's fabulous just the way it is. I like the idea of the plantation shutters. I put them in the main bathroom and they look great, without curtains.

I love it as is ... but if you don't, paint it.
