window blind mounting question

My dining room window has been n@ked for many years now. I never really worried about a window covering because we didn't need privacy since it faces the patio. My issue now is the heat during summer months. Previously I had a patio cover that really helped block the sun/heat during the summer. So I'm thinking of putting up blinds to help with that.

I have 2 in faux wood blinds in the living room window. That window is big, 92inches wide and that is where we need the privacy. At the time, that was the most affordable solution besides curtains but I didn't want to have to close the curtains at night for privacy.

I also need something on my patio door/french doors which I will do bamboo shades which I have had before and really like the look of bamboo shades.

So back to the dining room window. The most affordable blinds I can find are from home depot. $99. for that window BUT if I try to do an inside mount, it won't be flush (living room blinds are inside mount and flush) Do I do the inside mount with them sticking out a little or do an outside mount even though the the living room blinds are inside mount?

In terms of looks, I like the look of bamboo shades but they dont provide privacy at night and if they are lined the dont look good from the outside, IMO. I might be able to get away with bamboo blinds if I found some that had a tight weave. ??
