My vote would be for double ovens. We are doing the same thing in our new house. Double ovens in the kitchen and a micro "around the corner" in the pantry. An added advantage to the "around the corner" version is that a countertop micro is WAY cheaper than a built in or drawer micro.

I'll respectfully demur from the previous comment and point out that the microwave is used mostly for a quick reheat of a beverage or leftovers straight from the refrigerator and is better an integral part of the kitchen proper. Realistically, unless you are a casserole, bread/dessert baker or roast meat lover, using the oven is a much less common activity. Further, a counter top microwave IS a built in microwave with the simple addition of a ventilation kit. We now have options for double ovens that will handle the Thanksgiving turkey and side dishes while taking up the same vertical space as a single built-in oven and allowing the microwave to be a part of the "stack". Lastly, the microwave must be on its own 20 amp electric circuit (in most local code enforcement areas), easily planned for and accomplished as part of the kitchen remodel. More difficult if the remote location is not pre-wired for that appliance. When I say more difficult...I mean more expensive. Nothing in a home remodel or build is a stand alone, it all is related and interconnected and any change or alteration to one can affect many other systems. We put microwaves in the kitchen. Pretty much always.

Double oven looks more "high-end".
