Does your contractor have an active job site that you can visit so you can see how you react to the fumes?

My understanding is that anything with high VOC's will not all be eliminated by using a window extraction system.

I've never had anything reglazed - however, I know someone who did when flipping a house - he said that the fumes were TERRIBLE. He didn't live in the house - but he said that he didn't do any work on it for a few days (luckily, he scheduled it on a Friday). He said on Monday there was a little odor in the bathroom - the rest of the house was fine. He did have windows opened (he had it done in October when the weather was cool enough to not have AC running).

I am VERY sensitive to smells (and many other things) - I would have a back-up ready in case you can't be there. Also, I wouldn't have it done until the weather turns cooler in order to have windows open to air out your home.

I have not but my parents did. They were able to stay home and didn’t have any issues doing so, but they don’t have a lot of sensitivity to things.

Yes, they will gas you out. And the paint will still FAIL. Reglazing is a waste of money.

It was done one day while I was at work. I don't recall strong odors. Twenty years on there are a few miniscule chips in the paint. My cousin had it done and the fumes killed her parrot.

Parrots are super sensitive. I had a client that purchased a JennAir range and the odors that burned off of it from the initial start up killed their parrot.

It is a reputable company that has been here a long time and they reassured me several times that I have nothing to worry about and that they do this all the time in senior housing and no harm comes to them. They told me how they woud use a powerful vent hose and some thing else I believe but that the bathroom door will be closed for 24 to 48 hours which I will leave it closed for 48 hours. I just have alot of anxiety due to my husband passing away and some health issues. God bless you all and thank for your imput.
