Need someting like sconces on the wall, at least at the vanity, high hat type ceiling lights are seldom enough especially in a bathroom.

agree with millworkman, but the huge mirror will need to come down for electrical to keep sconces in a ideal place to enhance lighting.

Overhead lights are typically adequate for most vanity use. For "facework," a front-lit mirror is better, as back-lit mirrors are only for ambient light and to highlight the wall and can also exacerbate face shadows.

Sconces (wall mounted fixtures at head height) are another option for front-lit.

Also, if using smaller 2" or 3" recessed lights, they provide a narrower, more limited beam spread, where the sweet spot of light intensity might create more shadows depending on where your face hits that sweet spot.

For the shower it needs it's own light(s) within the footprint.
