Need help decorating our new home!

We're excited about our move into our new home in January. However, we're toying with the idea of hiring an interior designer to assist in decorating a few rooms (Living/Master Bedroom/Dining). What's the going rate for an interior designer? Also, what dictates that rate?

The rate depends on your location and the amount of experience the designer has.

Dont shy away from going to nearby Art Schools. The have interior design classes and a lot of times they need projects or even the professor can offer help. This is a great way to keep cost low but still obtain quality work and advice.
