I took a vintage pine table and chairs and lacquered them black...then I had a custom hammered metal top retrofitted over the existing table top. The metal top makes the table current and is fabulous for kids and projects and cleans up great! I love it too! Google a metal shop in your area and show them this picture to have a top made for a ready made table.
