Kitchen Makeover

We bought a house built in 1910. The kitchen was dated and here's what we did!

Very nice update while keeping a nod to the 1910 vintage.

I love the new look. It is interesting the way you used open shelving along with closed cabinets. I also think the hood is sexy. Great job!

Your kitchen is so beautiful! We are planning to renovate our kitchen, can I ask where you bought your pendant lights?

Night and day!! Love the floor plan change. where I can get bar chairs and floating shelves?
    hi there!
The shelves were just reclaimed wood with brackets from Signature Hardware. The countertop is River White Granite and the bar stools are from World Market. Thanks for the great comments!

Oh, my god, what a nice change...beautiful !

Really like how you combined the modern updates with the beautiful woods -- your table, the church pew (love those, we have one in our mudroom & it will last you a lifetime) and also those cool rattan bar stools. It must make you smile when you walk in there!

Hehe...the kitchen was "dated"...as in '70's! I like it now...it actually fits the 1910 style much closer than the old 70's remodel.

Looks great! Love the gorgeous original floor...what did you use on it? That bench is super cute too!! :0)

    From one old-house-owner to another!

Gorgeous! Im thinking I may have to get me a church pew... hmmmm.
Wow! This is superb! I love the old rustic look, the harvest table, the shelving. Very nice work. The bench almost looks like a church pew. This so very fantastic please do have me over for dinner.

Great floors, like the cabinets. What I hate is when you visit friends and their wall calendar is dated.
