Dining room buildin wall unit

I remodeled a dining room buffet but now i need decorating ideas on what to put on top an inside that would add more color

    Are there lights in the top of the glass front cabinets and the top of the center section? Effective lighting can add as much visual interest as color.

    As for color, look for what you like to populate the glass cabinets. Just be careful not to overdo color. The built-in has a somewhat formal look. Lots of bold bright color is contrary to the formality.
